Good Evening, My things are moving fast! Stocks spiked in afternoon trading after the Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin discussed lifting some or all tariffs imposed on Chinese imports and suggested offering a tariff rollback during trade discussions scheduled for Jan. 30. The market and the industrials in particular responded with a spike although stocks were trading well off their highs later in the session. The positive action pushed about half of the indicators I follow into buy signals with the rest making significant progress in that direction which was enough to make me feel comfortable reentering the market. That said I am moving my TSP allocation to 100/S. I will not hesitate to put money in the C Fund should it outperform. But for now we’ll start in the S. The I Fund is not a factor at this time due to the rising dollar and trade war tension. However, that could change as we’ll. We’ll be flexible!!!

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment was steady in the G Fund but will be back in the S Fund on Monday. For comparison, the Dow gained +0.67%, the Nasdaq +0.71%, and the S&P 500 +0.76%.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Neutral, I-Neutral, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/G but have an interfund transfer in the will move our allocation to 100/S at the close of business tomorrow. Our allocation is now +0.12% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.
C Fund: The C Fund (S&P 500) moved to an overall buy signal when the 5 EMA reached the 50 EMA during the afternoon session. Two or more negative signals or the 5 EMA below the 50 EMA or 200 EMA  or an SCTR below 40 generate a neutral signal. Any three indicators negative accompanied by both or either the 5 EMA below the 50 EMA or 200 EMA or an SCTR below 40 generate a sell signal. A buy signal is generated then the 5 EMA is above the 50 EMA and the 200 EMA, One or less indicators are negative, and the SCTR is higher than 40.
S Fund:
I Fund:
F Fund:
Several of the indicators that I follow moved to buys signals this afternoon accompanied by an overall buy signal for the S&P 500. That was enough to entice me back into the market both here and on the street. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades!
God bless, Scott Sunglasses

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
