01/23/19

Good Evening, Concerns over the world economy weighed the market down today with the major indices oscillating between the green and red most of the day finally managing to finish in the green by the end of the day. Earnings beats by Procter Gamble, IBM, and United Technologies fueled the buying. The current market remains in a state of flux due to trade with China and the Government Shutdown. I think a lot of traders would like to sell but are afraid that good news from the aforementioned situations will leave them in the dust. Thus, the market can’t determine whether it should move higher or sell off. Although, I’m sure that should the government shutdown continue it will eventually take it’s toll and force the market lower. The discussion on the block today was that if the shutdown went on long enough that it could lead to zero GDP growth for the first quarter. If that wouldn’t take the market down then I’m not sure what would. That said, we’ll have to keep a close eye on our charts and see how they react to each notable event. For now I’m in. Hopefully our elected officials won’t be stupid enough to commit financial suicide just to to come out on the winning side of this debate.

I will be honest with you when I say this market is a little more volatile than I like but the charts are still good and we could get a spike any day off of China Trade or the Shutdown.  So if that’s the case and it is, you must be in it to win it….. That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening and may God continue to bless your trades!
God bless, Scott Sunglasses

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
