Good Evening, You will all be glad to know that we’ve finally got our internet problem solved. As some of you know we have been looking for our final retirement home. We stayed in our camper while we looked so the internet situation was not very good. Add that to a crazy schedule and it was hard to post this blog. Well we finally settled on a home under construction in the Smoky Mountain/ Cherokee National Forest Area which is kind of off the grid. The only internet we had available since Christmas was a hot spot on my I phone with only one bar of service. It took literally all day to check my charts due to the intermittent service and I could only post a blog when it let me. Try doing that and managing all the stuff that comes with new construction! It made things very hard. All that noted, we were finally able to solve the problem today thanks to the Good Folks at Viasat. For the first time since July we actually have the internet! So the blogs should come on a little more regular basis now. It’s been a tough go to be sure, but God was with us the whole way! I want to thank you all for your patience!
How about this roller coaster? How many of you would have sold out today if you could have when the World Health Organization declared the Corona Virus a world wide emergency? The market started to slide immediately when the announcement was made. However, it reversed in the late afternoon after investors had time to consider the big picture which is the fact that the response to the Virus is pretty good. By the matter of fact it is much better than the SARS outbreak in the early 2000’s if you can remember that. The market survived that and the SARS virus was much more deadly than this one! There will come a day in the not so distant future when good news will come out on this subject and that is exactly what the market realized late into today’s session;. It also realized that a higher than expected 70% of Corporations that have reported have beaten earnings estimates. Couple that with a solid economy and there’s no reason to run for the hills……but if you do stop by and visit…Praise God we actually have the internet thanks to a satellite in the southern sky…….
