01/01/16

Good Evening, The market managed to hang onto most of it’s gains from Friday today. Although, the major indices did finish slightly in the red. Given that oil dropped today, that is very good. So what gives? Are stocks finally uncoupled from crude? That would be nice. I guess we’ll see.

Today’s trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment remained steady in the G Fund. For comparison, the Dow was off slightly at -0.10%, the Nasdaq was in the green at +0.14%, and the S&P 500 slipped -0.04%. Once again, given that oil dropped, that was very good!

Lets take a look at the charts: (All signals annotated with Green Circles) If you click on the charts they will become larger!

C Fund: All of our equity based funds are exhibiting similar patterns at this time. We must see at a minimum, the 5 EMA pass up through the 200 EMA before we can consider getting back into stocks. One encouraging sign on all our carts is the Accum/Dist line. On all of our charts, the C,S, and I, it shows that money is flowing back into the market. If that continues it should fuel some more upside!

Good morning, I’ll keep this brief because I’m on the road again. This market is volatile! I don’t care what the so called experts say. I don’t care what the VIX is. I don’t care whether folks are making money or losing money. It is one of the most volatile and fluid markets I have…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it…
