Good Evening, Happy New Year????? The Chinese market was forced to shut down trading after better than a 7 % decline last night. World markets followed with a sell off on concerns of a global decline. The end result proved to be the worst opening day since 1932. Stocks did turn up in the final hour of trading but the action felt almost forced as there was almost no valid reason for the reversal. The question now is will we go straight back up as we have for the past several years? I know that we don’t have the FED to move us along this time, but do we even need a reason not to head back up? Recent trading has been dominated by computer algorithm trading  aimed at manipulating the market with the primary goal being to fake as many folks out as possible. So does there even need to be reason?? There, I said it. You really can’t trust strong moves up or down. You just have to watch the charts and see how things play out. That most definitely sets you up for some pain if the move turns out to be more than a fake, but what else can you do? Unless the SEC chooses to regulate this type of trading, we have no choice but to play the game and that means being in some uncomfortable positions from time to time. Not for us today though as we watched from the safety of the G Fund! Our charts warned us of this action a few weeks back and we did well to pay attention! I thank God once again for His guidance of this group!!!

The days selling left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment was steady in the G Fund. For comparison, the Dow lost 1.58%, the Nasdaq -2.08%, and the S&P 500 -1.53%. It was a good day to be in the G Fund.

Good Morning, Another day another challenge. This market is anything other than boring and I say that not necessarily in a good way! When it comes to the market I think boring is good. That means less volatility and that means less stress. Nonetheless, we have what we have and we must deal with it.…

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…
