Good Evening, This market is unstoppable! It is in beast mode. What else can you say when it basically ignores a government shut down and then rally’s off the news when an agreement is reached to open it back up? No sir, no ma’am, the bulls just considered that another buying opportunity and they put every bear to shame that got in their way. I know it’s hard not to take the profits that you have off the table. Believe me, I understand. But before you do just remember the recent blog when we discussed the new tax reform bill and how it would effect earning’s. It’s the earnings that are driving this market and right now they are great!  Earnings growth of 12.4 percent is expected for the quarter, according to Thomson Reuters data. Of the 55 companies in the S&P 500 that have reported earnings through Monday morning, 80 percent have topped expectations, well above the 72 percent beat rate for the past four quarters. There you go. We called it!

The days afternoon rally left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +0.81%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.55%, the Nasdaq +0.98%, and the S&P 500 +0.81%. Not bad for our first day in the C Fund. Praise God for another good day!

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Buy, F-Sell. We are currently invested at 100/C. Our allocation is now +4.16% on the year not including today’s results. Here are the latest posted results:

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being.
