03/14/17

Good Evening, Not to beat a dead horse to death but the market remains on hold ahead tomorrows interest rate announcement by the FED. Given the current improving economic conditions a rate increase is all but guaranteed. I believe that the aforementioned increase is already baked into to market prices and that short of a surprise tomorrow the market will move on. If anything, it may get a little bump from the FED announcement as any uncertainty will be behind us. Remember, the market hates uncertainly and almost always gives it a negative reaction. The longer the uncertainly goes on the bigger the reaction gets. Can you remember the market anticipating the first rate increase since 2009? No matter how clear Janet Yellen attempted to make it, the more time that passed without an increase the more volatile the market became. So when the increase was finally made the market rallied in relief.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gave up -0.39%. For comparison, the Dow lost -0.21%, the Nasdaq -0.32%, and the S&P 500 -0.34%.

Good morning, I’ll keep this brief because I’m on the road again. This market is volatile! I don’t care what the so called experts say. I don’t care what the VIX is. I don’t care whether folks are making money or losing money. It is one of the most volatile and fluid markets I have…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it…
