03/27/18

Good Evening, I said it before and I’ll say it again. When I said that 2018 would be more choppy than 2017 I never had this in mind. This is volatility with a capital V. The only thing I can figure out about today’s selling was that traders were still concerned about the internet sector. Especially Facebook and Twitter. That along with lingering trade concerns were enough to influence them to take the large profits that they have been sitting on and watch from the sideline. I think they fully intend to reinvest but not until this storm is over. I still say the economy is too good for a bear market at this time and given the propensity of the market to turn and go straight back up I am in no hurry to sell. I’m going to watch my charts and will only consider selling if they produce very strong sell signals.

The days selling left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment dipped -1.95%. For comparison, The Dow dropped -1.43%, the Nasdaq -2.93% and the S&P 500 was -1.73%.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Neutral, I-Sell, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +0.07% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

All we can do is wait and watch. Will we get another bounce tomorrow? Will there be more news on the Mueller investigation? Facebook?? Trade Tariffs??? Your guess is as good as mine. That’s the reason you must be a reactive trader. Watch your charts and react to the action that’s before you. Check your emotions in at the door. They will get you killed. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades. I’ll keep praising Him when we’re down just like I do when we’re up! See you tomorrow.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
