03/29/18

Good Evening, Calmer heads prevailed ahead of the holiday shortened weekend to produce a nice bounce. Key support held for another day on the charts. So the question now is will there be any follow though or was this a dead cat bounce. As you know I am a reactive trader but the nature of writing a blog forces me to prognosticate just a little whether I like it or not. That said, the first two days of April or historically positive and given the fact that we are still technically in a bull market I’d have to guess that we will have some follow through on today’s rally. At least for the first part of the week anyway, but barring any land minds (and there seems to be quite a few of those lately) I am looking for a strong month in April.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted a nice gain of +1.22%. For comparison, the Dow added +1.07%, the Nasdaq +1.64% and the S&P 500 +1.38%. Thank God for the bounce!

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Neutral, I-Neutral, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now -1.92% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
