Good Evening, The market traded flat on low volume today. Investors are clearly waiting for two things. 1st they are waiting to see which way earnings will take us. Right now we’re early in the reporting period but more than 75% of the companies that have reported so far have solidly beaten estimates. It is currently expected that earnings will drop 1.7% year over year which will be the first earnings contraction since 2016. However, if companies continue to beat earnings at this pace they will do far better than that estimate. Should that take place investors will be willing to make long term bets with some of that idle cash that’s been sitting of the sidelines. 2nd and nothing new are the trade negotiations with China. I hate to sound like a broken record but if we get a new trade agreement investors will be willing to go long with even more of that money. Until then you can expect stocks to continue to trade mostly flat and in a range…….

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted another modest gain of +0.10%. Hey I’ll praise God for that! For comparison, the Dow fell -0.18%, the Nasdaq gained +0.22%, and the S&P 500 added +0.10%.

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.

C Fund: The C Fund generated a neutral signal when the PMO and MACD moved into negative configurations. Two or more negative signals or the 5 EMA below the 50 EMA or 200 EMA  or an SCTR below 40 generate a neutral signal. Any three indicators negative accompanied by both or either the 5 EMA below the 50 EMA or 200 EMA or an SCTR below 40 generate a sell signal. A buy signal is generated then the 5 EMA is above the 50 EMA and the 200 EMA, One or less indicators are negative, and the SCTR is higher than 40.

There’s not much to add here. At this point we just need to be patient and let this play out. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God bless your trades.

God bless, Scott Sunglasses

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
