Good Evening, The market continues to digest earnings reports as it waits for more news on the trade negotiations with China. Today the earning reports were a mixed bag with Microsoft and Facebook presenting blowout reports and with 3M and Raytheon disappointing. The obvious result was a flat market. Stocks continue to wait for the next catalyst….. We need that trade deal soon!

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment slipped -0.06%. For comparison, the Dow dropped -0.51%, the Nasdaq gained +0.21%, and the S&P 500 was lower at -0.06%.

 

S&P 500 nudges lower as industrials drag

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Neutral, I-Neutral, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/C. Our allocation is now +11.63% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

The action remains in range and somewhat flat as it awaits the next market moving event. Our job is to monitor the charts to see when that comes. You notice I didn’t say the news. We will see everything we need to know on our charts. The only function of the news will be to explain what we see. The news doesn’t make the results… The results make the news and never forget it.
