Good Evening,

Today brought us another new record which is what we have to have in order to make a gain. So how far can it go?

New record for S&P 500, Dow just misses

The day’s trading left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Neutral, I-Buy, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 36/C, 42/S, 22/I. Our allocation is now + 0.23% for the year not including today’s results. Here are the latest posted results:

Each of our equity based funds finished in the .25% range today. They were very close for a change. The C-Fund generated a buy signal today. Here is what it looked like:
C Fund:
The C Fund managed a small gain keeping it above its 20 EMA for a third consecutive day allowing it to generate a buy signal. The 5 EMA made a positive crossover of the 20 EMA and the PMO made a positive crossover of its 20 EMA. Volume was average again today which is healthy. I would also add that the other indicators I watch also generated buy signals for this chart today. For the purpose of this newsletter, I use only my basic chart setup with my favorite indicator which is Carl Swenlin’s PMO (Price Momentum Oscillator). It is good enough to show the overall picture without getting too technical. I mentioned this just in case you might wonder why on occasion I rate a chart as neutral when these indicators are giving a buy or sell signal. It’s simple, I don’t bore you with all the other stuff that I look at.

Another positive day puts our allocation a little further in the green! I don’t have a lot of faith that this market can head much higher. However, I’ll stay invested and get what ever gains it might give. That’s my style of investing. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades!

Good Afternoon, The theme we’ve been discussing in our recent blogs has been pretty spot on. Sticky inflation and speculation over what the Fed will do about it has kept the market trading mostly sideways. There really hasn’t been a lot to gain unless you are a short term trader and if you are you…

Good Morning, Summers here and we’re all busy, so I’ll try to keep it brief this week. Last Thursday our charts showed a change in trend. So we reentered the equity market with the S Fund which had the strongest chart and were rewarded with a nice day on Monday. However, the two trading days…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it is…
