04/03/17

Good Evening, The market continued today with it’s recent pattern of weakness in the morning and strength in the afternoon. Buying the dip has been almost a sure way to make money in recent weeks. The focus this week on trading is all about jobs. The market is keying off of Fridays job report as it relates to Interest rate increases and what the Fed has to say about interest rate increases. Anything else is a sidebar.  So I guess you could really say it’s all about interest rate increases in 2017. Right now the Fed is predicting two more…….

Today’s trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment slipped -0.14%. The Dow was off -0.06%, the Nasdaq -0.29%, and the S&P 500 -0.16%.

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.
C Fund:
S Fund:
I Fund: Off again today but still within it’s ascending channel. The SCTR turned back up.
F Fund: The F Fund continues to defy all odds as price slowly moves up it’s wide ascending channel. That’s nice, but I still won’t buy it or recommend it until the SCTR moves off it’s anemic SCTR of 14.4. That tells me this uptrend is on shaky ground….
The second quarter got off to a slightly negative start. We’ll see how we do tomorrow. The market is likely to keep drifting ahead of Fridays all important jobs report. Have a nice evening!
God bless, Scott 8-)
