Good Evening, Thank you President Xi Jinping and thank you Mark Zuckerberg. You spoke and the market liked what it heard or probably to be more accurately you gave the market no reason to panic. On behalf of investors abroad I salute you. This morning the market gapped up after President Jinping stated that he would work to open up Chinese markets. Specifically he talked about dropping the 25% tariff on US autos there which is one of President Trumps biggest gripes. The market maintained a nice gap up into the afternoon and received another boost when Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg struck a conciliatory tone when testifying before congress. Earnings season kicks off tomorrow morning when J P Morgan (JPM) reports. It is my expectation that the earnings season will be really good and will give a third boost to the market into the spring. We will see. There are some possible landmines that could slow things down such as the Russian investigation but they don’t seem to be an issue now so I it’s full steam ahead from here!!

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +1.78%. For comparison, the Dow added +1.79%, the Nasdaq +2.07, and the S&P 500 +1.67%. Thank God for the great day!
