Good Evening, The market pattern changed today. For the past seven weeks the bulls have been unable to put two good days in a row together. That ended today when the market added to yesterdays rally that started with the market favorite centrist candidate winning the most votes so far in Frances election. There are many reasons why the market likes Emmanuel Macron, but the biggest reason is that he is pro European Union and the market perceives a French exit from the EU as bad for European Stocks. Todays follow through was largely fueled by more good earnings reports for US Corporations. The most notable being Caterpillar. A few blogs ago we talked about the market being fundamentally sound and pointed to earnings as a reason that it could move higher barring any catastrophic events and today that’s exactly what it did.
