04/26/18

Good Evening, The struggle continued today. You have geopolitical concerns, concerns about the 10 year treasury bond yield rising, and tariff worries on one side and some of the best earnings we’ve seen in years on the other. Today’s victor was earnings buoyed by a resurgence in tech following stellar reports from Facebook and Intel. The party continued into after hours trading with a total blowout report from Amazon. Fridays have been kind of rough lately but the Amazon report should give us some momentum going into tomorrows opening bell. The question is can it carry though to tomorrows closing bell? We will see……

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted a gain of +0.54%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.99%, the Nasdaq +1.64%, and the S&P 500 +1.04%. Praise God for the good day!

It was a nice bounce today. Our allocation under performed on the day, but it was just that, one day. I cannot see large caps beating us in this environment. We’ll have to keep a close eye on our charts to make sure that this trend does not continue. My thought is that large caps were beat up a little more so they bounced a little harder today. That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening and may God continue to bless your trades!
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
