05/23/17

Good Evening, Today was a slightly positive day on low volume. Welcome to spring/summer trading. For the most part the market shrugged off the terror attack in Manchester to move slightly higher on a typical trading day for this time of year. I thought maybe that President Trump releasing his budget proposal might shake it loose but it was pretty much what the market expected. Don’t forget, while it seems kind of quirky the market likes certainly and in this case whether the legislation stands a chance of passing or not the market got what it expected.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment eked out a small gain of +0.02%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.21%, the Nasdaq +0.08%, and the S&P 500 +0.18%. Thank God for another day in the green. No matter how small the gains are, they add up if you keep moving in the right direction. It’s not what you make that’s important, it’s what you keep!

F Fund: I still don’t trust this buy signal with an SCTR of only 22.5. It’s just too shaky!

No problems today thank God. I will be on the road to attend a funeral so I may miss a post or two. However, if something major goes down I’ll find a hot spot…… That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening and may God continue to bless your trades!

God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
