06/08/16

Good Evening, Things are beginning to settle in to somewhat of a grove now. It may be hard to believe but this market hasn’t had a major downtrend since February. The market continues to be addicted to cheap Fed money and with last Fridays terrible jobs report it is unlikely that the Fed will be able to raise rates for a while. As a result of all this the major indices are now challenging their all time highs. Of course, most individual stocks are very close to their 52 week highs making it hard for money managers to put more funds to work. This is leaving them chronically under invested and scrambling to put more money to work each time the market rises which in turn provides the support that keeps the market from moving down. All that said. it’s the perfect storm for the buy and holders. It may not always be so, but for now that’s just the way that it is.

Today’s trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment out performed the market again today with a gain of +0.53%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.37%, the Nasdaq +0.26%, and the S&P 500 +0.33%. Praise God for another good day!

Dow finishes back above 18,000 as dollar weakens
