Good Evening, Trade concerns continued to present a head wind for stocks today. Also weighing on the market was a ruling by the Supreme court that will allow states to collect sales tax from online vendors that sell in their states. Companies like Amazon and EBay where down on the news. All that stuff noted, the market really seemed to be engaged in normal trading for late June through August. After all, where did you think that old saying ‘sell in may and go away’ originated from in the first place? So I really won’t be surprise if we continue to thrash around like this until October or November. As usual, my goal for this season is to hang onto what I got and hopefully add just a little to it before things pick up again in late fall.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allocation fell -0.97%. For comparison, the Dow dropped -0.80%, the Nasdaq -0.88%, and the S&P 500 -0.63%.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Buy, I-Sell, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +8.77% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/C. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your…

Good Morning, It seems that it’s an odd thing to say, but we exit the month of October as a successful month which is not always the case as it is historically one of the worst months for the market. So now we enter the month of November which is historically one of the best…
