Good Evening, If you never commit more than a handful of issues concerning the market to memory let this be one of them. Investors will stick with a market pattern as long as it works and until it doesn’t work. As I have repeated several times a pattern of buying dips has been in place for several years now. It has  worked and continues to work so today’s reversal should come as no surprise to anyone that reads this blog. Someday it will come to an end, but for now you can count on the dip buyers to show up like clock work any time the market drops. Todays news or rather excuse for the buying was that European Central Bank President Mario Draghi backed off his hawkish rhetoric from yesterday. You already know what I think….the market was going to bounce back anyway. It trades more on technical set ups than it does fundamentals these days. If the machines are programed to buy they buy. They don’t really care what the ECD or the FMC or anyone else has to say about it. It is true that that many of the algorithms are programed to buy or sell when the pick up on certain words in the news. However, those dips are usually short lived and only add to the phenomenon of the V Shaped bounce. The bottom line is that we made money today. Praise God for that!

The days rally left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained 0.87%. For  comparison, the Dow added +0.68%, the Nasdaq +1.43%, and the S&P 500 +0.88%.

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
