07/30/18

Good Evening, Tech stocks continued the sell off that they began on Friday led by Facebook. The so called FANG stocks were hit the hardest. However, all tech stocks felt the pain as the sold off across the board. The broad based sell off put pressure on all the major indices pushing each of them into the red by the closing bell. It’s too early to tell if this is the beginning of something bigger. I’m inclined to think that it is not. Either way we’ll have to raise our level of caution and monitor our charts closely to see where things go from here. As I briefly mentioned Friday it’s the slow time of year so don’t expect stocks to move like a rocket ship. It’ll probably be more like a snail if they make any progress at all. Our task remains the same and that is to stay in the game until the fall when seasonality will again be on our side.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment fell back -0.87%. For comparison, the Dow lost -0.57%, the Nasdaq -1.39%, and the S&P 500 -0.58%. It definitely was a rough day out there.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Neutral, I-Neutral, F-Sell. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +6.86% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

The only good news about today is that we need action like this to set us up for next move up. The trick is to stay in the game until that move comes…. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
