07/06/17

Good Evening, Owe, today hurt, but it didn’t hurt us as much as it did the broad market. Today, the market sold off on concerns about the situation with North Korea and about a possible trade war with Europe. If you remember in one of my previous blogs I talked about possible land mines that could derail the current rally and North Korea was an example that I used. I’m not saying that the rally has flown off the rails just yet, but one never knows when a selloff like today is the start of a more significant downturn. The thing to watch is to see if the now longstanding pattern of bouncing back in a V Shaped fashion is still in play. I’d give it two days to bounce back before I’d consider the possibility that the pattern has been broken. That said, we have the jobs report tomorrow and good results could fuel a comeback. Poor results would significantly decrease those chances. As usual, we’ll keep a close eye on our charts. After all that’s the reason we have them. On the positive side, the I Fund held up relatively well as compared to the major indices. We’ll see if foreign stocks feel the pinch tomorrow or if they just sit this one out.

Here are the day’s results: Our TSP allotment dropped -0.45%. For comparison, the Dow lost -0.74%, the Nasdaq -1.00%, and the S&P 500 -0.94%. Small caps were even worse with the IWM suffering a -1.31% set back. This was one of those days when there was no place to hide. No safe haven…..

I’m a reactive trader but if I had to venture a guess I would say that it’s going to bounce tomorrow. Have a nice evening and keep praying. God will bless your hand!
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
