08/13/19

Good Evening, Today the market continued it’s bi-polar behavior by reversing and moving up again after President Trump announced that he was delaying new tariffs on Chinese products. Folks it makes you dizzy trying to keep up with all the reversals that this market is having. If you don’t like the action just wait a day or so and it will reverse! All that said, I would remind everyone that nothing concrete has changed. There is still no trade agreement and the chances for future disappointment are high. Nothing has taken place that will support a lasting rally. On top of that, the coming weeks are the worst of the year for Wall Street. So don’t throw caution to the wind……

Today’s trading left us with the following signals: Our TSP allotment slipped -0.14%. For comparison, the Dow added +1.44%, the Nasdaq +1.95%, and the S&P 500 +1.48%. No doubt, the major indices erased a lot of their losses from the past two days. However, volatility is still very much with us.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Neutral, I-Sell, F-Buy. We are currently invested at 100/F. Our allocation is now +8.17% for the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

My best guess is that the market will continue higher for a day or so. But remember, we are only one bad China trade headline from a sell off. I’ll watch my charts and see if the risk decreases. However, at least for now, I’m staying in bonds… That’s all for tonight. have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades.

God bless, Scott Sunglasses

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
