Good Evening, The market rose moderately today on optimism about trade talks between China and the United States. A low level two day meeting between China and the US is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in Washington. Other market worthy news this week is that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will be speaking at the Jackson Hole Central banking symposium on Friday. He will be discussing the economy and monetary policy when he gives his speech at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Past Fed Chairmen have made policy announcements at this symposium so investors always pay a lot of attention. As a result this event has been a market mover many times in the past.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted a gain of +0.33%. For comparison, the Dow was up +0.35%, the Nasdaq +0.06%, and the S&P 500 +0.24%. Thank God for another day in the green!
