Good Day, Sometimes I get caught up with a busy schedule and/or I’m out on the road and I can’t do this blog justice. Last night was one of those times. I try to let you all know any time that is the case but as you know from your own busy schedules that’s not always possible. In the last blog I wrote I talked about market four factors that will shape the market and right on Que we had one of those events occur yesterday, Friday the 24th of August. The chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell spoke at the World Central Bank Symposium at Jackson Hole Wyoming.  He said that the economy is in great shape and inflation is running at an acceptable level and that the Fed would continue it’s gradual rate of interest rate increases. For now, the chairman has maintained that gradual interest-rate increases are the best way to balance risks. The US economy hasn’t been this healthy since the financial crisis. Unemployment is historically low and expected to decline further. Wage growth is starting to pick up. And inflation is finally at the level the Fed considers healthy for the economy. “The economy is strong,” Powell said. “And most people who want a job are finding one.” Folks, I don’t care if is is August. That’s what the market wanted to hear and it responded accordingly.

The days results are as follows: Our TSP allotment added +0.62%. For comparison, the Dow posted a gain of +0.52%, the Nasdaq +0.86%, and the S&P 500 +0.62%. Praise God for another good day!

The weeks action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Neutral, F-Buy. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +10.90% on the year. Here are the latest posted results.

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
