08/27/18

Good Evening, The United States and Mexico reached a trade agreement today and as we anticipated it moved the market higher. I am cautiously optimistic that we’ll see some follow though in the morning despite poor seasonality. Another factor that could add some heat to the fire is if this momentum can lead to an agreement with Canada. This little doubt that the agreement with Mexico turns of the heat on Canada. Although it will be a little more complicated, I am confident that an agreement will be reached with Canada as well. I’ll bet China is watching closely. Does this give them some incentive to reach an agreement with the U.S.??? We will see……

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment added +0.48%. For comparison, the Dow added +1.01%, the Nasdaq +0.91%, and the S&P 500 +0.77%. We talked about the fact the the large cap stocks would out perform if a trade agreement was completed. I think today definitely qualifies. I’m going to need to see an agreement with Canada and China as well before I can be all on board with big caps, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Neutral, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +10.90% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

F Fund: The F Fund weakened to an overall Neutral signal today when it’s SCTR dropped below 40. This is no doubt that the recent strength in equities is pulling money from bonds.

So far so good. I have to say that I am actually pleased with August this year and I praise God for that! That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades.

God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
