Good Evening, The North Korea issue faded in the rear view mirror just a little and the market started off on a positive note. However, the mood soured by the afternoon as Home Depot weighted the Dow down. After all it is summer so their going to find something to be negative about.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment was off slightly at -0.08%. For comparison, the Dow was flat at +0.02%, the Nasdaq dipped -0.11%, and the S&P 500 slipped -0.05%.

 

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Neutral, I-Neutral, F-Buy. We are currently invested withe 100% in the I Fund. Our allocation is now +11.65% for the year not including today’s results. Here are the latest posted results:

There’s really not much to write about. Barring a land mine we’re in the dog days of summer and the market is going to trade pretty flat. Couple that with the computer algorithms that buy every dip and sell every rally and stocks get shoved into the tight trading range like they have been in most of the year. The only thing that seems to create any volatility is the threat of nuclear war or some other earth shaking event. Beyond that the market is pretty oblivious to the regular news. Especially politics. Nothing of a political nature even seems to phase the market in the least bit. Yep, the machines keep us in a tight range while they trade for pennies…. Well that’s all for tonight.
