Good Evening, So did you all watch the eclipse today? We were right in the center of it. It got pretty dark but the oddest thing about it was the way that the crickets and cicadas started singing like is was the middle of the night. It was quite odd indeed. You could see the eclipse in the market too. The volume went almost to nothing and then came back up again when it was over. There’s nothing you can’t see in the market if you look hard enough! Well you might as well have watched the eclipse if you didn’t because the market was pretty flat. The were small pockets of momentum, but only if you had individual stocks. If you were tracking the major indices it was pretty dead. There was a small dip and the dip buyers did show up but they only made a halfhearted attempt at buying. One thing I did take out of today’s action was that the slightly negative bias of the trading continued. Today was the 9th straight day in a row that there were more 52 week lows than 52 week highs on the New York stock exchange. That’s usually a sign that things aren’t trending well….

The days slow trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment was slightly off at -0.03%. For comparison, the Dow gained +0.13%, the Nasdaq  slipped -0.05%, and the S&P 500 added +0.12%. It was a pretty slow day.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-neutral, I-Neutral, F-Buy. We are currently invested at 100/I. Our allocation is now +11.28% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

There’s nothing really new to add. We continue to be in a downtrend. It remains to be seen it it will turn into a correction. I doubt that we’ll get the answer to that any way soon given the season that we’re in. That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening and may God continue to bless your trades.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good morning, I’ll keep this brief because I’m on the road again. This market is volatile! I don’t care what the so called experts say. I don’t care what the VIX is. I don’t care whether folks are making money or losing money. It is one of the most volatile and fluid markets I have…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it…
