Good Evening,

Janet Yellen’s speech was supportive of the market, but was really just more of the same old stuff we have been hearing for a while. Overall, it was a non-event for the market which is exactly what we wanted. Our TSP allocation had a small loss on the day but ended up in the 2% range for the week. AMP managed another small gain as some funds flowed back into safe havens. More than likely that is a result of traders trying to lock in gains after a nice run rather than out of fear. Nevertheless, we managed to reach both of our goals this week in that we made a nice gain in TSP and maintained our nice gain in AMP. The Lord was good to our group yet again.

The week’s action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Neutral, F-Buy. We are currently invested at 40/C, 60/S. Our allocation is now -3.97% on the year not including today’s results. Here are the latest posted results:

Here’s our chart for the day: Charts courtesy of stockcharts.com
C Fund: The C fund paused at resistance today. We’ll watch carefully to see if this is just consolidation or the start of something more (refer to yesterday’s blog). For now though, the chart continues to produce a strong buy signal as does the S Fund. The I Fund is a different story at a weak Neutral and should be avoided for now.

It’s been a good week for both TSP and AMP. Our strategy is good so we will remain invested as we are for now. Give God all the praise! That’s all for this week. May God grant us another good one next week!
I’ve been jokingly accused of not having fun on this newsletter and indeed that may be the truth as I take what I do very seriously. However, I want you all to know that I do have a life outside of stocks…  Dan, this is for you…. I’ll be attending a cruise-in tonight in conjunction with the Frog Follies car show in Evansville Indiana in what my friends refer to as the “purple car”…
Next week I’ll be heavily engaged in my other hobby, College Football. You probably already guessed the game I’ll be attending: The University of Kentucky vs UT Martin. I want all you Marshall and Mountaineer fans to know that I will be taking in one of your games as well before the season is over. So Go Cats, Go Herd, and Go Mountaineers!
Have a great weekend!
God bless,
Scott 8-)

The Purple Car….. Yes I do have fun….Well as long as TSP and AMP are going well. LOL

Good Afternoon, The theme we’ve been discussing in our recent blogs has been pretty spot on. Sticky inflation and speculation over what the Fed will do about it has kept the market trading mostly sideways. There really hasn’t been a lot to gain unless you are a short term trader and if you are you…

Good Morning, Summers here and we’re all busy, so I’ll try to keep it brief this week. Last Thursday our charts showed a change in trend. So we reentered the equity market with the S Fund which had the strongest chart and were rewarded with a nice day on Monday. However, the two trading days…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it is…
