09/11/18

Good Evening, Tech returned to the forefront leading the market higher today. Energy was also higher giving the market a push as well. Breadth was not all that great though, exposing some weakness in what otherwise seemed like a normal day on the surface. Advancing issues outnumbered declining ones on the NYSE by a 1.06-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.15-to-1 ratio favored decliners. This has been an ongoing characteristic of this market all year as the indices have been supported by money moving from one sector to another. There have been some sizable declines in areas like tech and financials while the indices have reflected very little of this volatility.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted a gain of +0.22%. For comparison, the Dow was up +0.44%, the Nasdaq+0.61%, and the S&P 500 +0.37%.  Praise God for another day in the green!

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Neutral, I-Sell, F-Sell. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +10.66% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

We’re not doing bad for September! That’s all for tonight. Please take a moment to pray for the safety folks on the East coast that will be effected by Hurricane Florence. This looks like it’s going to be one of the strongest Hurricanes to strike that area in years. Also, just a note, I will be on the road so I will not post a blog on Thursday or Friday.  Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades!

God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, I woke up this morning and looked  at the notifications on my phone and I was like what? A criminal investigation of Jerome Powell? What kind of fake Facebook post is that?? Then I saw a thing or two from a couple of the major networks and I immediately realized that this might…

Good Day, Well this is the last blog of 2025. Was it a better year? Well the returns were better but you had to work harder to get them as well. Overall, it was a volatile year with the Fed interest rate/ Inflation issue, tariffs,  the AI trade and the government shut down dominating the…
