Good Evening, Well lets close out the books on another September. We survived to invest another month. The market eased off to end the month on a positive note after putting up negative numbers last week. Today’s optimism was generated by an announcement by the Trump administration that last weeks report that the administration was considering delisting several Chinese companies from the US stock exchange was “fake news”. My my, didn’t the aglo’s have a field day with that one… Also boosting the market was a report that Tim Cook,CEO of Apple stated that demand for the new I Phone is strong. In addition, investors are looking forward to the resumption of trade talks with China next week. My take on that is that we’ve heard all this before and that we won’t have deal until we actually see one. It’s probably not wise to come totally out of the trenches until that takes place. This could turn out to be a decent week as we ride this trade optimism into a new month with the Chinese markets shut down all week for a holiday. As far as that goes, the old adage applies that no news is good news. However, traders may be setting themselves up for a disappointment next week if the negotiations take a negative turn as they have in the past. With that taken into consideration I would definitely keep my guard up.

We may make a run this week barring more earthshaking political news but it’s next week that we really need to watch. The trade negotiations with China could drastically move us one way or the other. Beware of meaningless news being used by the algorithms to fake you fake you out of your hard earned money! Take the time to consider whether it’s real and whether it’s truly meaningful before you make any big moves. Start thinking about it now and have a plan before it comes! That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades.
God bless, Scott
