09/06/17

Good Evening, The market repeated it’s pattern of bouncing back after a large selloff the preceding day. Its that plain and simple. As long as it continues to work you can expect it. Although, one has to wonder if a second major hurricane could cause things to sell off a little more than they have done so far in 2017. That possibility is even a little stronger when coupled with the traditionally poor month of September. If a bigger dip were to take place in the coming days and I had cash on the sideline I would consider it a great buying opportunity. I’m looking for a strong run into 2018 as long as we don’t have any unexpected landmines such a significant issue with North Korea.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment had a nice day posting a gain of +0.62%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.25%, the Nasdaq +0.28%, and the S&P 500 +0.31%. Thank God for a nice bounce.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Buy, F-Buy. We are currently invested at 100/I. Our allocation is now +12.31% on the year not including the day’s gains. Here are the latest posted results:

We had a nice bounce and our chart for the I Fund remains technically sound. Also, it continues to have the best SCTR of the bunch. There’s no reason to even consider a change. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and don’t forget to pray for all the folks affected by Harvey and Irma. I continue to pray that Irma will turn.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, The train left the station after Fridays jobs report. That may have well been the bottom of the current dip. It is now highly likely that the Fed will reduce rates on Sept 17th. More on that later. Right now lets focus on our trains next stop which will be Wednesdays Producer Price…

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
