Good Evening, The market ended mixed today. I’m not sure the media really knows why. This was a day when they seemed to struggle with the market news. Some of them are saying that the Consumer Price Index gain last month of +0.4% was much bigger than expected and increased the chance of an interest rate hike in December. They claim that caused the trading to be slightly negative. That’s a good enough reason for me. As you know I am only passively interested in the “why”. What I really care about is “what” is happening. That’s how I make all my investment decisions. I am strictly a reactive trader. Prognostication is not my cup of tea….

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +0.16%. For comparison, the Dow set a new record with a gain of +0.20%, while the Nasdaq lost -0.48% and the S&P 500 fell -0.11%. Thank God for another good day.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Buy, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/I. Our allocation is now +13.87% on the year.  Here are the latest posted results.

As of the writing of this blog there is a news release that North Korea has fired another missile over Japan. I knew there was a reason I kept my defense stocks on the street! Tomorrow morning should be interesting. I can’t wait to see how the machines play this one. My guess is that they’ll sell and then reverse in a day or so leaving the humans that played defense in the dust. After all, that is their pattern. That is what they do…. Keep a close watch on your charts and don’t get faked out. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
