10/18/16

Good Evening, The media claimed that improved earnings moved the market into rally mode today. But before you get too excited consider that the market continues to alternate good days and bad days. After the current give and take the S&P 500 has only changed .003% since last Wednesday. That’s the reason that I keep griping about the trading range that we are in. I suspect that we will continue to drift until the next market moving event which of course will be the election. At that time the market path will likely be determined and we will move into the next market moving event which will be the December Fed meeting and subsequent rate increase decision. It is my feeling that there will be a rate increase so if your risk tolerance is low you might consider taking any profits you have off the table before that time.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +0.61% on the day. For comparison, the Dow was up +0.42%, the Nasdaq +0.85%, and the S&P 500 +0.62%.

Now we get to the good part of the month. Lets see if the Election Headwinds hold us back. We do have some positive earnings to back us up. My guess is no big moves before the election, but that’s just a guess. Keep praying and watch the charts! Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades.

God bless, Scott 8-)

Good morning, I’ll keep this brief because I’m on the road again. This market is volatile! I don’t care what the so called experts say. I don’t care what the VIX is. I don’t care whether folks are making money or losing money. It is one of the most volatile and fluid markets I have…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it…
