10/23/17

Good Evening, Poor news about GE put the market in bad mood today which it was unable to overcome. All the major indices finished in the red with the Dow breaking it’s five day winning streak. Specifically, several brokerage firms downgraded GE saying that the company is likely to cut it’s dividend. News that nobody wants to hear. That noted, the last week of October is one of the poorest weeks seasonally speaking throughout the year. So the poor action is really no surprise.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gave up -0.68%. For comparison, the Dow dropped -0.23%, the Nasdaq -0.64%, and the S&P 500 -0.40%.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Neutral, I-Buy, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +15.71% on the year not including today’s results. Here are the latest posted results:

While I never like it, this is typical late October action. We’ll just have to suffer through it. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
