11/02/16

Good Evening,  Just a quick note: As I mentioned earlier, we have rebuilt our mobile app so you will have to down load the new one before you can receive any alerts on your phones. You can easily do that for either IOS or Android operating systems at the App store.
The Fed met today and caused a little movement in the market, but the big influence continued to be the upcoming election. The S&P 500 has now dropped for 7 consecutive sessions and it hasn’t done that for a long time. I certainly wouldn’t bet against it dropping through next Tuesday. I’m fully invested and I realize that it’s going to be volatile through the election, but that doesn’t make it any easier to watch. By the matter of fact I would prefer not to watch. Nevertheless, you must be in to win it so to speak. If and when I get a confirmed long term sell signal, I may reconsider my position. But for now, it’s full speed ahead and darn the torpedoes (Yes that’s the Christian version of that saying).

The days selling left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment lost -1.23%. For comparison, the Dow dropped -0.43%, the Nasdaq -0.93%, and the S&P 500 -0.65%.

I Fund: The I Fund generated an overall sell signal today when it’s 5 EMA passed through it’s 200 EMA with the other three indicators in negative configurations. It is my recommendation to give a five (trading) day delay on making the transaction if you happen to be in this one. We are doing that on all signals with regard to our equity based funds to prevent whipsaw signals such as the ones that have often occurred over the past five years. Obviously, that goes double with the election in just six days!

It’s tough to hang in there, but we must wait until the smoke has cleared from this election. Keep praying! God has never let us down before!!! That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening!

God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Another day another challenge. This market is anything other than boring and I say that not necessarily in a good way! When it comes to the market I think boring is good. That means less volatility and that means less stress. Nonetheless, we have what we have and we must deal with it.…

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…
