11/06/17

Good Evening, The price of oil moved up today and the market moved up (slightly) with it. The culprit was Saudi Arabia’s crown prince who moved to consolidate his power with several arrests for corruption. The market reaction was because the action by the crown prince could possibly disrupt the flow of oil. Corruption, consolidation of power….OK. Anyway the other driving force for today’s market was the proposed merger between tech giants Broadcom and Qualcom. Boradcom offered to buy Qualcom for 103 billion. The end result was that both issues barely moved the major indices. However, they did manage move them to records which as usual the media found exciting.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted a gain of +0.28%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.04%, the Nasdaq +0.33% and the S&P 500 +0.13%. Thank God for another good day!

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.
C Fund:
S Fund:
I Fund: The I Fund Generated an overall buy signal when the MACD moved into a positive configuration. For those of you who are new and may be wondering what the heck I’m talking about, we generally call a chart neutral (or hold) when two of our indicators are in negative configurations. We call it a sell when four are negative. Also, just one caveat, we will never call a chart a buy unless the SCTR is higher than 40.
F Fund: The F Fund is still classified as neutral even though four indicators Price, PMO, MACD, and WM%R are in positive configurations. In our system the SCTR must also be 40 or higher before a chart can generate a buy signal. The SCTR for the F Fund is currently only 23.
Nothing new to add here. We just need to keep watching the charts. Have a great evening and may God continue to bless your trades.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good morning, I’ll keep this brief because I’m on the road again. This market is volatile! I don’t care what the so called experts say. I don’t care what the VIX is. I don’t care whether folks are making money or losing money. It is one of the most volatile and fluid markets I have…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it…
