Good Evening, I’m sure everyone is busy getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow and that some are already enjoying the holiday with family and friends now so I’ll get right to it. The market followed up two strong days of performance with yet another record after investors reviewed the minutes from the last Fed meeting that indicated that the economy has improved and may now be strong enough for a rate hike. Experts put the probability for a December rate hike at close to 95%. Also worth noting is that market players now have it in the back of their minds that Trump policies will result in lower taxes and less corporate regulation which will help the economy. The bottom line is that they view the current market as “risk on” or in simpler words they are now willing to take more risks. That means out of bonds and cash and into stocks. Not just any stocks either, small caps and speculative stocks are now back on the table. That folks, is the reason that you are seeing new records…..

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment out performed again today with a nice gain of +0.47%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.31%, the Nasdaq dropped -0.11%, and the S&P 500 was up +0.08%. We certainly have a lot to be thankful for. Hasn’t God been good to us in 2016!

 

Dow Scores Another Record as Fed Signals a Rate Hike Could Be Coming
