Good Evening, The Sector rotation continued today. Albeit to a lesser degree. The main focus of the market was on the tax reform bill that is making it’s way through the Senate. The bill received a big boost today as Senator John McCain said that he will vote for it. Basically, it boils down to this. Investors are waiting to see what is going to happen with the bill before they position their portfolios for 2018. If the bill passes, look for them to buy domestic small and mid cap stocks to include financials, industrials, and cyclicals that will benefit from a lower corporate tax rate. Also look for them to buy large international companies that have a lot of money offshore that can be repatriated and put to work here. The vote should be late tonight or sometime tomorrow. It will determine how and in which direction this market will move. For those of you who are not familiar with the TSP Funds. The C Fund is made of up large cap stocks, the S Fund of small and mid cap stocks, and the I Fund of international stocks. Choose accordingly……

The days action left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +0.60%. For comparison, the Dow added +1.39%, the Nasdaq +0.73%, and the S&P 500 +0.82%. Thank God for another good day!

 

Wall Street gains, Dow tops 24,000 as tax bill gains steam

F Fund: The F fund moved closer to generating a sell signal today when PMO, MACD, and WMs%R all moved into negative configurations. That leaves only price to go negative to generate the new signal. A sell signal here usually means good things for stocks!

If the the new tax bill passes we are in position to reap the (market) benefits. Keep an eye on the news and then watch the charts to see how the market reacts. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades!
