12/27/18

Good Evening, The volatility continued with another big swing today. The market moved down some 600 points and stayed in the red for most of the day until it came storming back in the late afternoon to close in the green. It was another nose bleed ride for investors!  Some of the commentators are saying that a bottom may be forming. Good for them. They can buy it. I’m dealing with retirement money so I’m not about to get back in until I see an established uptrend that is confirmed by most or all of the dozen indicators that I watch. I may be the last one in but I will be in when the market is moving up. No bottom fishing with retirement money. Remember It’s not what you make that’s important. It’s what you keep!

The days wild ride left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment was steady in the G Fund. For comparison, the Dow added +1.14%, the Nasdaq +0.38%, and the S&P 500 +0.86%.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Sell, S-Sell, I-Sell, F-Buy. We are currently invested at 100/G. Our allocation is now -3.87% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results.

I don’t have a lot to add. I’m uncomfortable with this market and the charts have lots of work to do to make me feel better. So I’ll keep praying and watching my charts until I see a change. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades.
God bless, Scott Sunglasses

Good Afternoon, We talked last week about Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole Wyoming being a possible inflection point for the market and that’s exactly what it ended up being. The Fed chairman gave a somewhat dovish address in which he noted that  “the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting…
