12/09/16

Good Evening, Like everyone else, I’m extremely busy this time of year. Nevertheless, it’s hard not to write a little something after a record setting week like this. While it didn’t set the world on fire, the market did manage to set more records today. By the matter of fact, that’s five straight records for the Dow. I wouldn’t have complained if we’d had a little consolidation today, but the market would have nothing of it. Rightly or wrongly (you can decide for yourself) the market has decided that President elect Trump is good for business. Add that to signals that the economy is getting stronger and you have a freight train that won’t slow down. Investors who continue to sell fixed income investments now have money that’s burning a hole in their pockets while they are being left behind. Most encouraging today was the rotation into healthcare and consumer staples which up to this point haven’t been involved in the rally. That tells us that the rally is broadening. Money keeps finding new places / different sectors to go…..

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment took the day off, finishing flat at -0.07%. For comparison, the Dow gained +0.72%, the Nasdaq +0.50% and the S&P 500 +0.59%. Our allotment held onto some large gains it made this week. I’m not complaining. God has been good to our group!

Record-setting rally pushes on as S&P ends week up 3 percent

The weeks action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Buy, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allotment is now +10.85% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

Good Afternoon, I’m doing this a little early this week as I have a broken water line to attend to in the morning. The big issues this week are President Trumps bid to buy Greenland, Threatened Tariffs on European Nations if they don’t back the sale of Greenland to the US, continued sector rotation out…

Good Morning, I woke up this morning and looked  at the notifications on my phone and I was like what? A criminal investigation of Jerome Powell? What kind of fake Facebook post is that?? Then I saw a thing or two from a couple of the major networks and I immediately realized that this might…
