10/04/17

Good Evening, It was another emotionless trading day as the market moved ever so slowly higher. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. It is moving up! It seems like the bears aren’t even trying to offer up reasons why the market should drop. It’s almost like they have been beaten into submission by the endless new records. At least for the meantime. The recent pattern has been that the market will undergo a slow period as it sets up for another leg up and that’s exactly what it feels like to me right now. My charts don’t show it dropping and the strongest season for stocks is upon us. Taking into consideration that nuclear weapons and mass shootings have had no effect on things to date I’d have to say that it’s going to take something pretty drastic to derail this train.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment slipped back -0.01%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.09%, the Nasdaq +0.04%, and the S&P 500 +0.12%. It was a pretty flat day but I thank God that we were able to hang onto our previous gains.

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Buy, F-Sell. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +15.22% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

Good Afternoon, Yes, I’m a little late getting started with this today. I’ve been crazy busy dumping tech stocks and buying Industrial, Consumer discretionary, consumer staples, banks, and health care. I can’t recall this kind of vicious rotation in December in recent memory. This almost reminds me of when I was trying to figure the…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your…

Good Morning, We got a great PCE report on Friday showing relatively tame inflation.  The Commerce Department said that the core personal consumption expenditures price index for September – which was delayed due to the record-setting U.S. government shutdown – showed an annual rate of 2.8%, lower than the 2.9% Dow Jones estimate. Core PCE’s 0.2%…
