05/26/16

Good Evening, The market continues to be range bound as it waits for more information on a possible rate increase by the Fed. The chances of a rate increase have gotten significantly greater in recent days supported by several good economic reports. My best guess is that there is now a 60% chance that we will get a rate hike in June.

Today’s trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment slipped back -0.19%. For comparison, the Dow dropped -0.13%, the Nasdaq added +0.14%, and the S&P 500 was close to even at -0.02%.

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.
C Fund: The C Fund moved to an overall buy signal when the PMO and MACD moved into positive configurations. Price tested resistance at 210 the past two sessions but failed to break through. It will be bullish if there is a confirmed breakout from this level.
C Fund
S Fund: Price sustained it’s breakout of the bearish wedge and has challenged overhead resistance at 85.50 the past two sessions. While the MACD moved into a positive configuration, the PMO failed to follow suite. So while this one improved, it is still neutral for now.
S Fund
I Fund: price broke through the upper trend line and is now moving toward resistance at 60.25. This chart moved back to neutral when the MACD turned positive during today’s session. The I Fund posted the best return of our equity based funds for the day.
I Fund
F Fund: Price posted a small gain remained within the well erstablished rising channel. However, the PMO and MACD suggest that there could be some more downside here. Also, on the flip side, this could be taken as a signal that there may be more upside for equities!
F Fund
We will continue to monitor the S Fund chart for new developments. But for now, there is no reason to bail. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening and may God continue to bless your trades!
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Another day another challenge. This market is anything other than boring and I say that not necessarily in a good way! When it comes to the market I think boring is good. That means less volatility and that means less stress. Nonetheless, we have what we have and we must deal with it.…

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…
