10/10/16

Good Evening, The market rose today on higher oil. According to the media, it also rose on the perception that Hillary Clinton won the debate. I’m staying out of the politics on this blog. Nevertheless, that is what they said…. It’s always been my humble opinion that the news is not generated by the market, but rather written to match the market. That’s the reason I stick with technical analysis. You can’t always believe everything you read!

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +0.86%. For comparison, the Dow added +0.49%, the Nasdaq +0.69%, and the S&P 500 +0.49%. Praise God, we had them covered today!

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.
C Fund: The C Fund generated an overall buy signal when the PMO crossed back up through it’s signal line. This is a shaky signal that is subject to a whipsaw as the PMO is hugging it’s signal line. That will be the case until you see some separation one way or the other. An SCTR of only 55.1 shows the weakness of this signal. It is far from solid.

The market remains locked in the same trading range that it has been in for three months. We’ll keep a close eye on the charts so that we will be the first to know when that range is finally broken. That’s all for tonight. Have a nice evening!
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good morning, I’ll keep this brief because I’m on the road again. This market is volatile! I don’t care what the so called experts say. I don’t care what the VIX is. I don’t care whether folks are making money or losing money. It is one of the most volatile and fluid markets I have…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it…
