Good Evening, There are two dynamics to the market right now. #1 The market will not do the same thing two days in a row. There is simply no sustained momentum one way or the other. and #2. Not many traders are willing to hold stocks over the weekend with such turbulent world events as North Korea and the French Elections going on. You can check out the news link for the details on all that. We had both of those things working against us today so back down the market went…..

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment gained +0.06%. That doesn’t sound like a good day until you compare it to the Dow which lost -0.15%, the Nasdaq -0.11%, and the S&P 500 -0.30%. Just for kicks we’ll throw in the S Fund at -0.27%. Our slim return was better than a loss and I thank God for that.

 

Wall Street Ends Lower as Crude Slumps, French Election Looms

 

The weeks action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Buy, I-Neutral, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/I. Our allocation is now +2.26% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results.

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.
C Fund: Price remains in the wedge pattern which is a continuation pattern. This one will likely move up more.
S Fund: Still within the wedge pattern. This is considered a continuation pattern though they will occasionally break the opposite direction. Remember, nothings 100% but most patterns are generally reliable. If this pattern executes it will break to the upside.
I Fund: Price remained within the ascending channel. The lower trend line held when tested today.
F Fund: The SCTR is still too low to trust this one. However, price remains within a well established ascending channel.

 

We’ll see what happens in the French election and how that effects Monday’s open. Have a great weekend!
