07/11/17

Good Evening, It was another flat summer day of trading. However, it was not without a little drama. President Donald Trump’s oldest son released E-mails where he corresponded with a Russian attorney that offered political dirt on Hillary Clinton. Folks, you couldn’t make this stuff up any better. They need to spin off a new TV series from this news. By the way, my only reason for mentioning any of this is the way that it effects the market. I can’t help it if the market trades off of political stuff. Personally, I’d prefer to talk about anything else. Nonetheless, the market sold off on the news. But alas, it wasn’t even an hour before the dip buyers stepped back in to drive it back up with a tailwind from later breaking news that Mitch McConnell delayed the Senates summer break by two weeks in order to make progress on the Republican agenda. In market speak, that means that the senate may be getting closer to working on tax relief and believe me, that’s the make or break issue for this market.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment added +0.23%. For comparison, the Dow was flat at 0.00%, the Nasdaq gained +0.27%, and the S&P 500 lost -0.08%. Thank God for giving this group another good day!

Wall Street ends flat as politics drive stocks

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Neutral, S-Neutral, I-Neutral, F-Neutral. No, I don’t just like to write Neutral all the time! The signals are a reflection of the tug a war that’s going on between the bulls and the bears. Neither one is able to gain any ground so the signals remain neutral…. We are currently invested with 100% in the I Fund. Our allocation is now +8.91% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

Right now we’re just grinding it out. If God continues to bless us we’ll get through the slow season and tack some more gains on this fall. Keep praying! That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening!
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
