10/18/17

Good Evening, There was more of the same type of action today that we have had since early September. There was, however, one exception from Monday and Tuesdays sessions, breadth improved. Advancing issues outnumbered declining ones on the NYSE by a 1.09-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.32-to-1 ratio favored advancers. The trend of low volume with a tight range did continue. About 5.6 billion shares changed hands on U.S. exchanges, below the 5.9 billion daily average for the past 20 trading days, according to Thomson Reuters data. I can honestly say that I have never seen anything quite like this before. There is no emotion, no volume, and no volatility. The market just continues to climb a wall of worry. Those that are left behind continue to invest but no matter what they do they can’t seem to catch up. It is an endless cycle that sucks more and more investors in as folks who aren’t invested in the market decide that they are missing out. Eventually this will come to an end and it will probably not end well. So when will that be?? Just watch the networks and it’s about every day, every week, and every month. If you listen to those folks you’ll always be under invested. Again, when will the top come? I’ll tell you when, when there is no longer any money on the sidelines to invest. Right now there seems to be a good supply, but if you figure out when that day will come please let me know. Until then I’m going to repeat what I have been saying for 7 years now. I know your tired of hearing it and God knows I’m tired of saying it but it has been, is , and always will be true. The trend is you friend. So stick with the trend until the end. The pricing action will tell you when……

Now lets take a look at the charts. All signals are annotated with green circles. If you click on the charts they will become larger.
C Fund:
S Fund: The S Fund generated an overall Neutral signal today when the PMO joined the MACD in a negative configuration. I’m not concerned about this as long as the SCTR remains above 40. If it were to drop below 40 I’d consider a change. One positive thing about this chart is the bullish wedge pattern that’s forming at the top. It’s a loose configuration at this time but still worth mentioning. Should it execute, it will do so when it rises above 109. This pattern is extremely bullish so if that happens hang on for the ride!!

The trend is your friend!!!! That’s all for tonight. Have a great evening and may God continue to bless your trades!
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
