12/14/17

Good Evening, The tax reform bill hit a snag when Senator Marco Rubio of Florida sated that he would not vote for the bill unless the child tax credit is increased. As a result the market sold off. This sets us up for either another “the tax bill is passed rally” or an almost certain correction. If you fear the latter this is probably a good time to go to cash or in our case the G Fund. Politics aside, I find it hard to believe that Republicans will fail to pass a bill knowing that they will lose a crucial vote after the 1st of the year when the new Alabama Senator Jones is sworn in. I don’t know about all this political stuff, but I do know this with close to 100% certainty that if some form of corporate tax cut is not passed this market will drop and it will probably drop hard. I’m still betting that it will get done. However, if your view is that it won’t happen my advice to you is to get out of this market while you still have time. There’s always a small chance that I am wrong and things will be fine regardless. All I can say is assess the situation and proceed at your own risk. Either way, I’m going to continue to place my faith in God. The current situation only reminds me once again that if you place your faith in men you’ll likely be disappointed.

All we can do is take it day by day at this point. The direction that the market takes will be a direct result of the tax reform bill. My faith remains in God. To date He has never let this group down. Have a nice evening and we’ll see what happens tomorrow.
God bless, Scott 8-)

Good morning, I’ll keep this brief because I’m on the road again. This market is volatile! I don’t care what the so called experts say. I don’t care what the VIX is. I don’t care whether folks are making money or losing money. It is one of the most volatile and fluid markets I have…

Good Day, It’s time to adjust our mix. The new mix is 100/S. Please remember that this is the percentage of money that we have invested in each fund, not the money that is taken from your check and deposited into thrift. Those future contributions should always be 100% G Fund. That automatically protects your deposit in the event that it…
