Good Evening, If you listened to the media today the message was that the Dow and S&P were flat but the Nasdaq hit another new high. While that is true and may satisfy novice level investors it doesn’t go deep enough to tell the real story. The underlying action was mostly in small cap and tech stocks. The underlying train of though was and is that they are the most immune to a trade war. I will agree with that to a certain extent but not entirely because panicked investors and computer algorithms will sell at some point if a trade war gets bad enough and when they do they will sell everything. They will not have any regard for good stocks or bad. They will throw the baby out with the bath water.  Nonetheless, we aren’t dealing with possible future scenarios, we are dealing with the precious present and if you want to make money in this market you need to be invested in the aforementioned securities.  If the market changes then our charts will change and we’ll change. There’s no use in over-complicating things! Not to overuse an old adage but “the trend is your friend” and right now the trend is up and the best place available in Thrift for us to be is in the S Fund…. Like I said , no use in over-complicating things.

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted at gain of +0.47%. For comparison, the Dow slipped -0.06%, the Nasdaq gained +0.41%, and the S&P 500 eked out a small gain of +0.07%. Praise God for another good day!

The days action left us with the following signals: C-Buy, S-Buy, I-Sell, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +5.87% on the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

There’s no reason to even think about making any changes right now. Our allocation is working extremely well. We must give praise and glory to God for guiding our group! If you don’t already know Him take the time to become acquainted with Him through His Son Jesus. Jesus came that we may have life and life abundant. He is the one from whom all blessings flow and He is the reason that our group has been so successful. I promise you, that’s the best advice that you’ll ever read on this blog. Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
