Good Evening. The end of August is finally here and a strange thing (for August) happened. We made money and I praise God for that. Today the market drifted along near the neutral mark as investors prepared for the Labor Day Weekend. No one for the most part was willing to make any large bets before the weekend as trade talks with Canada closed down without an agreement. The reaction to that news was muted somewhat as it was announced that the talks would restart on Wednesday of next week. I believe Canada will ultimately come to an agreement with the U.S. but it will be a little harder to get there than it was with Mexico. I can hear the media now. How could we treat our close neighbor and ally like that? I say if that’s how a close friend and ally treats us then why call anyone an enemy. Did you know that Canada has a 300% Tariff on our Dairy goods? Is that how you treat a friend? Is that fair trade? Is that fair to American Farmers? That’s not all of it either. I have to wonder out loud how much lost trade with Canada will really hurt us anyway? At any rate the current situation appears to be priced in. We will see how it goes but it looks like its Mexico for now…..

The days trading left us with the following results: Our TSP allotment posted a gain of +0.27%. For comparison, the Dow fell -0.09%, the Nasdaq gained +0.26%, and the S&P 500 was flat at +0.01%. I thank God for another day in the green. I also thank Him for finishing the month of August in the green!

The weeks action left us with the following signals: C- Buy, S-Buy, I Neutral, F-Neutral. We are currently invested at 100/S. Our allocation is now +11.51% for the year not including the days results. Here are the latest posted results:

Good Morning, Our charts told us we were at the bottom and the fundamentals agreed. The opportunity was so compelling that we probably jumped back in a few weeks to early, but we wanted to make darn sure we were positioned for the run that would surely come. The market dipped and many chicken little…

Good Morning, Inevitably, we will have a down day and today is it. Believe it or not the S&P 500 has gone up the past nine sessions and it’s been a long time since it’s done that. So a down day today is not so bad. The recent run has pretty much put things back…

Good Afternoon, This was a Fed Driven market. It was all about when the Fed would be reducing interest rates based on inflation and that’s still the case to a certain degree, but in all actuality everything is waiting on the outcome of the tariff situation. So given that fact I’m going to say that…
